About Us
Glenfields Care Home is a family-run business, serving the East Riding of Yorkshire.
We provide person-centred care to the highest standards on a private and social funded basis and we specialise in dementia care and complex care needs.
Laura Harding – Director

Laura graduated from the University of East Anglia and obtained additional qualifications in hospitality management and marketing. Her early career was in customer service with various blue chip companies before she came into the family business. Laura found the move to be a natural progression as she spent more time in the business and became fully involved from 2003. She ensures we provide person-centred care to the highest standards and comply fully with the increasingly demanding regulatory requirements.
Sarah Oxtoby – Care Home Manager
Sarah has worked in the care industry for over 20 years. She has always adopted a person centred approach and “truly cares” for people as if they were her own family.
She is trained in all areas of adult social care, with her level 5 in adult social care underway and her completion of her Bradford University dementia training.
Sarah has worked at all levels initially in the kitchen, then as carer to senior carer, team leader and now a registered care home manager.
Sarah in her own words says “ she loves her job” and takes a very hands on approach in providing excellent day to day care services to our residents and their families.
Pat Hogger – Care Home Deputy Manager
Pat has been working in the care industry for over 10 years, beginning with caring for people in the community whilst earning her NVQs.
Pat joined Glenfields in 2014 and was promoted to Deputy Manager in 2018. She has ongoing training with BSA (‘Blue stream academy), and she has recently completed a NVQ ‘End of life’ Qualification.
Pat is now embarking on an NVQ ‘Level 5’ management course.
Rachel Bootland – Cook & Lee Simpson - Kitchen Assistant
Rachel is 39 and have two children, one called Bethan who is 21 and William who is 8 and she lives locally. Her passion from a very small age has been cooking. She left school at 16 and went to college to do the 7261 in catering and hospitality level one to three. Rachel really enjoys being head chef because, in her own words, "I get to cook and help look after the residents by giving them a healthy balanced diet."
