Sensory Impairment Care

We offer specific services for any of our residents who have any sort of sensory impairment. We keep a communications box in each home which includes a pack of visual aids and prompts and we recognise that such practical experiences as touch and smell can help people to show and tell us what they need. We are highly skilled at identifying a person’s unmet care needs by looking at the way they behave and particularly by using the appropriate dementia mapping techniques.
